 “Azienda Agricola Ferdy” is located in Lenna, Brembana Valley, at about 500 meters above the sea level.

Besides being a farming business, Ferdy is also a farmhouse. Ferdy and his family ranch those endanger breeds that were considered not productive enough. These animals are enhanced as a precious heritage and richness, as they allow the farmer to offer his customer some really genuine products, so different from mass production. 


At Ferdy’s, cattle graze free across the territory: they include two traditional breeds from Brembana Valley, Bruna Alpina cow and Orobica goat.

The so called “capra orobica – orobica goat” mostly eats weed, berries and shrubs over more than seven months a year, producing some delicious milk used by the farmhouse’s restaurant and also sold in the company shop. Moreover, it is also used to create some cosmetics for the “Naturale Montagna Pura” line.

Milk and meat are obtained by Bruna Alpina cow. It is the grandfather’s cow, a kind of breed that has been used for generations by the people from the valley. It is a rustic animal, whose grazing helps to keep the mountain’s biodiversity. In addition to this, it is a very long-living animal that almost becomes part of the family. Formai de Mut DOP cheese, one of the most valuable gastronomic products from Bergamo, is made with the milk produced by Bruna Alpina cows.

Besides goats and cows, Ferdy also breeds pigs, sheep, donkeys, rabbits and chickens.

At Ferdy’s it is also possible to purchase many products, as well as to taste the delicious meals prepared by the local restaurant, to book tasting sessions, guided tours and outdoor activities.
