Polenta, casoncelli, cheeses, cakes and so much more: Bergamo’s food is gaining an increasing number of foreign admirers, as the official data by Confartigianato about exports are showing. 

The entire Italian food industry experienced a huge increase in exports all over the world and – surprise! - Bergamo and its province registered the second most significant growth: + 26,1%! We must thank its products, guaranteed by the Dop, Igp, Stg certifications, as well as its centennial tradition and the passion of the numerous small producers and artisans, that transmitted their knowledge from generation to generation.

So what’s the best place to (re)discover this culinary tradition? The “Ristoranti dei mille…sapori” (“Thousand flavours Restaurants”), spread all over the city and in the province of Bergamo.
