Bergamo’s valleys are full of fast flowing torrents, perfect for canyoning! If you don’t know what it is, just know that it is a decidedly adventurous discipline, but if done with the right equipment and accompanied by a professional, it can be accessible to all.
Canyoning synthesises elements of mountaineering, speleology and immersion: it consists of descending torrents, gorges or canyons using a helmet, harness and descender, like in mountaineering. And when you come across differences in elevation? You can go down with a rope, slide in natural toboggans or... jump.
Are you curious? Then try the Grigna torrent, with its water trails that drop down into deep gorges and then end in placid lakes. Or Fiumenero, suitable for beginners, as well as the Guerna torrent in Adrara San Martino. And then the Inferno Valley, in the lower Camonica Valley. Ready for an adventure?
