Description

Would you like to rediscover the masterpieces of the diocesan collections? They are waiting for you in three places equally rich in art and history!

While the new exhibition venue of the Bernareggi Museum is being prepared, the works of art it holds will migrate to three exhibitions located around the city. And they will not be the only attraction on the itinerary, because by visiting the three exhibition sites in sequence, you will be able to take a real journey through two thousand years of history, from the early era of Bergamo's evangelization to the present day.

In the first stop, the Museo della Cattedrale (Cathedral Museum), you can admire ancient paintings, sculptures and goldsmith creations from the pre-Renaissance period. At Palazzo Bassi-Rathgeb, on the other hand, you'll discover the influence of one of Lorenzo Lotto's masterpieces on painters of later decades. Finally, at the San Lupo Oratorio, you'll have a chance to explore the work of the artists who worked here-a lasting sign of the friendship between the Church of Bergamo and contemporary artists.
