Embark on a culinary journey—whether for just an afternoon or an entire week. In addition to sampling excellent food and fine wine, you’ll learn how to cook these dishes so you can share them with your friends and family when you return from your vacation in Lombardy!
A unique experience that will let you get to know the city from a different perspective; you can enjoy moments of togetherness with a local Bergamo family or relax in the comfort of your own accommodation, and you can explore local markets in search of fresh ingredients that you’ll learn to turn into delicious dishes. All you have to do is choose the experience you prefer on this website: https://www.micheleskitchen.info.
You’ll learn how to roll out dough, make pizzoccheri, casoncelli, tagliatelle, and lasagna, cook fantastic sauces, prepare traditional polenta taragna, as well as delicious tiramisu, panna cotta, and Sicilian cannoli.
All of this is accompanied by fantastic wines, perfectly paired with the dishes.
A stroll through the local farmers’ markets, a visit to Bergamo’s traditional shops, a sparkling aperitif, and traditional appetizers: that’s how our cooking classes begin, and they end at the table, where you’ll taste the dishes you’ve prepared, paired with excellent Lombard wines.
Together, we’ll create a full menu based on classic Italian recipes and ingredients, sharing a few insider tips and teaching simple preparation and cooking techniques that you can try at home with the help of the Michele’s Kitchen cookbook. Afterward, we’ll sit down together to enjoy the fruits of our labor.
The meeting can be conducted in Italian, English, and French.
The event lasts two or three hours, including a tasting at the end, and can last a single day or even a whole week.
Couples, small groups, families (including children ages 10 and up), and anyone who wants to have fun in the kitchen are welcome to join and learn how to cook traditional Italian dishes.
Depending on the number of participants, classes will be held at Michele’s home, at designated venues, or at your host facility (if space permits).
The classes are entirely hands-on: the chef demonstrates the steps to follow, and the students recreate the dishes on the menu, each working individually at their own station.
