The course aims to explore the poet’s determination to denounce the evils of his time and to call for moral redemption—themes that remain relevant today. The program includes a study of the author’s life, delving into lesser-known biographical aspects—such as his relationships with his father, his children, and Beatrice—to paint a human portrait that goes beyond the mythical dimension.
This in-depth analysis will focus on the characteristics of the *Comedìa*, a work conceived to bring about social renewal, through a reading and commentary on the cantos dedicated to civic themes.
