Supporting prevention means caring for the community. The Zona Blu project is organizing a charity dinner, the proceeds of which will go to the V.A.M.P. Center at the Policlinico San Marco in Zingonia.
Some projects start with an idea. Others stem from a personal story—an experience that changes you—and at some point, you feel the need to turn it into something that can benefit others as well.
Zona Blu came about this way: through the coming together of women entrepreneurs and independent professionals who have had personal experiences with health issues—either directly or through people close to them—and who have chosen to turn those experiences into a concrete commitment to the community.
This year, Zona Blu is taking it a step further: from raising awareness to fundraising for a specific cause.
The charity dinner on October 24 will support the “Virtual Reality That Heals” project, which benefits the V.A.M.P. Center at the Policlinico San Marco in Zingonia.
The goal is to raise 21,350 euros to help purchase a virtual reality-based rehabilitation device designed to support the rehabilitation of people with neurological conditions, including Parkinson’s disease, and which can also be used for motor recovery following strokes, traumatic injuries, and other conditions.
