Take the State Road of Brembana Valley Until You Get To San Pellegrino Terme
Birrificio Via Priula stands out for its strong connection with the area it calls home: Valle Brembana. Via Priula is in fact the ancient trade route built in the 16th century at the behest of Alvise Priuli, linking the Bergamo area with the province of Sondrio.
The road, which can still be travelled today, was of considerable strategic and economic importance: it enabled the Republic of Venice to expand its trade northwards without having to pass through the territories of the Duchy of Milan, thus avoiding the payment of substantial duties.
Just like the brewery’s name, the beers themselves, through their styles and labels, tell us, sip by sip, a small part of local history.
This close connection with the local area is also reflected in the choice of ingredients: everything used to flavour the beers is grown by farms in Valle Brembana. These ingredients include saffron, berries and aromatic herbs.
