Findings of the remains of several water cisterns show that Bergomum had a very well-organized water supply system.
In the Rocca complex it is still possible to see the remains of a Roman cistern, the only one that can be visited.
Six cisterns still filled with water are preserved in the St. Agatha Monastery complex, but it is not possible to visit them due to the cloistered nature of the monastery.
Other remains of cisterns, which cannot be visited today, have been identified in several places in Città Alta including the remains of a cistern that recently emerged near Palazzo Moroni.
