Sunday, October 25, at 6 p.m., two artists will perform a special concert featuring unreleased songs, tributes, and fresh sounds.
Two artists—but above all, two friends who are regulars at the Druso—are set to perform a special double bill at Bergamo’s temple of music on Sunday, October 25, at 6:00 p.m. (Via Antonio Locatelli 17, Ranica—doors open at 5:00 p.m.): La Regina dei Rospi—aka the queen of the Druso, Marilena—and indie singer-songwriter Riki Cellini.
Two worlds, many songs, and a single piano: Valerio Baggio’s, which will accompany Marilena and Riki in an intimate and captivating concert dedicated to original music—ranging from singer-songwriter pop, jazz, disco, and the great tradition of Italian singer-songwriting—with those for whom the Druso has always been a way of life and a source of inspiration.
Cellini brings to the stage the soundscape of his new album “L’estate tutto l’anno,” available since last March on all digital platforms—a work that reaffirms his signature style: elegant, free, untouched by fleeting trends, and built around emotional truth. The Druso concert will mark the final stop on the album’s promotional tour—a laid-back production with a nocturnal, almost whispered mood “to rediscover the balance between music and words,” explains Cellini, “because sometimes silences carry as much weight as a note or an unspoken word.”
Between black-and-white references and futures yet to be written, Druso’s double live performance will be an opportunity to get up close and personal with two artists who place the fusion of artistic languages, musical memory, and interpretive intensity at the heart of their identity.
