As a result of some renovation work at the restaurant “Da Mimmo,” a wall from the Roman period was found about 7 meters below the current street level.
South of the wall it was possible to find two square structures of a 1.30 m side, and 3 meters apart: these are the foundations of columns of a building of some importance and which probably had a public function: it is thought that its portico with large columns faced the main street of the Roman city.
