The tour takes in all the iconic locations from Alessandra Selmi’s historical novel *Al di qua del fiume* (This Side of the River), allowing visitors to discover the UNESCO site through the eyes of Emilia, the strong yet sensitive character born of the author’s imagination: it begins right at Emilia’s beloved school, strolling among the small houses and the so-called “palasocc” of the Malberti family, along the canal where the tragic discovery took place, and discovering the clinic where Dr. Pagani worked, Agazzi’s tavern, and the factory where the workers went, day after day. Visiting readers will be able to relive the stories told by the author, discovering the UNESCO site of Crespi d’Adda through Emilia’s eyes… a journey back in time thanks to Alessandra Selmi’s evocative storytelling!
The tour includes a guided visit to the workers’ village, the multimedia museum galleries, and the Crespi d’Adda Hydroelectric Power Plant (duration: approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes). The guided tour is conducted on foot and in Italian. Available on the first and third Sundays of the month.
Please note that:
