A guided tour takes participants on a journey to discover the religious buildings of Lower Bergamo—on the eastern side—that were deconsecrated during the 19th century. The initiative offers an opportunity to explore the history, transformations, and current uses of these spaces.

The tour traces the history of these ancient places of worship, recounting their transition from their original purpose to new uses and highlighting the historical and architectural value they continue to hold. Particular attention will be given to the surviving decorative elements—artistic testimonies that allow us to reconstruct the buildings’ original identity and understand their importance within the urban context.

The tour offers a glimpse into a heritage that is often little known, highlighting buildings that, despite having lost their religious function, continue to represent the city’s history through their architecture and decorative elements that are still visible.
