“The Baroque represents the Age of Disorder, in which composers set aside all established knowledge to indulge in ‘the risky thrill of experimentation,’ leaving behind a legacy of music that is alive, unstable, and, for this very reason, infinitely modern. The title of the series, “The Future Is Baroque,” stems precisely from this awareness: in the Baroque, we find the origin of all contemporary exploration, the spark of invention, and the freedom of a language in transformation.
An evening dedicated to the charm of plucked strings: two guitars weave their voices together, from Domenico Scarlatti’s sparkling compositions to the great works of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, while the mandolin and piano introduce new timbres to the conversation. A continuous dialogue among different instruments, where virtuosity and lightness take turns leading the way. Featuring the Duo Leyenda—Lorenzo Limonta and Eros Morotti on guitar—followed by Riccardo Spolti on mandolin and Pietro Bonfanti on piano: an evening presented by the Young Artists section of the G. Donizetti Conservatory. The evening begins with a self-guided tour of the Palace’s historic halls; this will be followed by a meet-and-greet with the artists on the terrace. Limited seating.”
