Portrait of an era

Through September 20, the Sestini Museum of Photography in Bergamo is hosting an exhibition of photographs by Eugenio Goglio depicting the entire Brembana Valley.

The Belle Époque through the lens of a late 19th-century artist photographer. More than 140 portraits recount a moving era in the faces of a posed Valley.

On display will be shots by Eugenio Goglio, a photographer from Piazza Brembana who was active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Single, couple or group portraits, in studio or en plein air compose a rich gallery of images and restore the preciousness of one of the oldest funds of the Sestini Photographic Archive.

“Portrait of an Era. Photographs by Eugenio Goglio (1865-1926),” is open to the public from April 11 at the Sestini Museum of Photography at the Convent of San Francesco in Bergamo.
