At N. 14 in via Borgo Canale is the birthplace of Gaetano Donizetti.Just beyond is the church of S. Grata inter Vites, rebuilt in the ‘700Within walking distance you can visit the Castle of San Vigilio overlooking the High City. From its summit you can see the nearby Bastia mountain and the underlying villages of the ancient val Breno (now called Valbrembo and Paladina), the Almenno span, known as Lemine, once an area of great commercial importance, and the boroughs along the road leading to the Brembana Valley.
