The former Church of Santa Maria Rossa in Treviglio is being transformed into the city’s new Archaeological and Historical Museum, which will also house the local history section of the Public Library.
The event celebrates the opening of MAST, the new space of the Treviglio Archaeological and Historical Museum, located in the former church of Santa Maria Rossa. The revitalization project also includes the integration of the local history section of the Civic Library, with the goal of displaying archaeological artifacts and historical documentation from the area. ### Schedule for Saturday, October 24 – ArcheoLab at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 12:00 p.m.: mock excavations for children and teens ages 6 to 13. Participation is limited to 10 people per session, with a maximum of two registered accompanying adults. – Coly Colibrì, the archaeologist, at 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.: a show-workshop for children ages 3 to 6. Participation is limited to 25 people per session, with a maximum of two registered accompanying adults. – Museum Opening at 5:00 p.m.: ceremony featuring official greetings, a presentation of artist Chiara Smedile’s work, live music by Graziano Gatti, and a social gathering. – Archaeological Escape Room at 9:00 p.m.: activity for teens ages 14 to 18. Participation is limited to 15 registered participants, with a maximum of two registered accompanying adults. ### Program for Sunday, October 25 – Cultural walk at 9:30 a.m.: a tour through several stops along the “Horizontal AgriMuseum” route, starting at the Vertical Museum in the civic tower and ending at MAST, with a visit to the new museum.
