A small medieval village frozen in time, perched above a stream and shaped like a triangle: Castel Trebecco is one of those places that surprises visitors precisely because of its intimate size and the unspoiled atmosphere it still retains.
During the guided tour, we’ll discover the history of this ancient fortified village—skillfully restored and still inhabited today—while examining its defensive structure and strategic location overlooking the river.
After about three hundred meters, we’ll reach the Church of San Fermo, a small building full of unique features. Here we’ll see the unusual bell tower situated directly on the facade and discover an even rarer find: beneath the altar, the remains of an earlier church were uncovered, characterized by the presence of only two apses—an extremely unusual architectural solution.
Places we’ll visit: Trebecco Castle, Church of San Fermo in Credaro
