The play “Resto qui” is a theatrical adaptation of Marco Balzano’s novel. Directed by Arianna Scommegna and Mattito Fabris, the play unfolds through the voices and bodies of two characters, Trina and Erich, who serve as both witnesses and victims of the historical events in Curon in Val Venosta.
The narrative recounts the story of a community affected by the construction of a dam in 1950, an event that led to the submergence of an entire town. Through the accounts of the two protagonists—a husband and wife—the play presents versions of the story that intertwine through coincidences and complementary details, painting a picture of resilience and dignity in the face of the loss of their homeland.
