On Saturday, January 16, 2027, at 9:00 p.m., the Teatro Circolo Fratellanza in Casnigo will host *Abbracciati nel TANGO – A Journey Through Time*, a theatrical performance produced by Sipario – Il mio racconto and In movimento Group.
The show traces the history of the tango, from its origins in the working-class neighborhoods of the Río de la Plata region to its spread to theaters around the world. Born from the fusion of European, African, and South American musical traditions, the tango has spanned eras and social transformations while retaining its distinctive expressive character.
Through a selection of performances, accompanied by live music and narration, the audience will be able to explore the various forms of this dance, from its earliest interpretations to its most contemporary expressions.
The performance features Albino Roca, Elena Viola, Elisabetta Masseri, Fabrizia Lattuada, Gianangelo Bramati, Ivano Capelli, Monica Sala, Roberto Airoldi, and Roberto Belotti.
Claudio Mondini, a professor at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, will perform on the violin, with narration by Marco Foresti. The text was written by Alessandro Cuppini, Marco Foresti, and Simonetta Campioni, while the direction is by Marco Foresti and Simonetta Campioni.
The show is part of the L’Indomita Theater Festival, organized by the L’Indomita Theater Company in collaboration with the Bergamo Theater League.
