The Pianura da Scoprire association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Caravaggio, the DUC (Urban Commerce District), the Caravaggio Viva Association, and the ANC (National Carabinieri Association), is organizing a day dedicated to exploring the work of Michelangelo Merisi, known as “Caravaggio.” This initiative is part of the “Treasures of the Central Lombardy Plain” project, which, since 2019, has been promoting the historical and cultural heritage of the association’s member municipalities.
The event includes two main guided tours:
- Visit to the Church of San Bernardino, located at 17 Via Papa Giovanni XXIII
- Visit to the replicas of the Contarelli Chapel in the Church of San Luigi dei Francesi in Rome, housed in the former Church of San Giovanni, with entrance from the parking lot on Largo Donatori di Sangue
The event will take place on Saturday, September 26, with the following opening hours:
- From 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- From 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
