The event takes the form of a narrative performance with a traveling route that connects the stories of Francis of Assisi and Luigi Pirandello. The project explores the concept of renunciation, comparing Francis’s decision to give up material possessions and his own name with the identity crisis of Vitangelo Moscarda, the protagonist of Pirandello’s 1926 novel.
Main Characters and Setting
The performance features Matteo Cima, Simonetta Campioni, Mattia Artifoni, and Marco Foresti. The performance takes place within the walls of the Fondaco del Sale, where the narrative uses light and movement to connect the 12th and 20th centuries. The journey then continues along Via Salvecchio.
