The Dance Well – Movement Research for Parkinson’s initiative aims to bring dance into cultural settings, offering an approach that uses movement as a practice for well-being and sharing. Although the project was created specifically for people with Parkinson’s, its intergenerational nature makes it open to the entire community, fostering social interaction and a new way of experiencing culture.

Project Context and Methodology

Launched in 2013 by the CSC Centro Scena Contemporanea in Bassano del Grappa, the project integrates various rehabilitation strategies. These include aerobic exercise, motor imagery, cueing, and proprioceptive and sensorimotor training. These practices are designed to promote neuroprotection, neuroplasticity, and neurogenesis, serving as a complementary support to traditional physical therapy to improve quality of life.
