The guided tour of the Martinengo Convent offers an in-depth look at the history of this religious complex, commissioned by Bartolomeo Colleoni and built on the initiative of the local community. The tour explores the artistic layers and architectural features of the monastery.

The tour takes visitors through the main areas of the facility:

  • the church, featuring frescoes by masters of Lombard painting—including the Master of Martinengo, the Poloni brothers, and Sergio Fasolini—and influenced by the Bembo school;
  • the four side chapels, featuring altars carved by the Caniana family;
  • the partition by Pietro Baschenis, built between 1623 and 1627;
  • the cloister, which houses three 18th-century reflection sundials and a portrait believed to be of Tisbe by Martinengo;
  • the old sacristy and the old refectory, spaces that bear witness to monastic life in the past.
