The Bergamo-based band returns to the stage after a long hiatus, blending new wave, post-punk, and indie rock sounds. They’ll also be performing songs from their new album, “Y.U.P.,” set for release in 2026, at Druso.
On Friday, October 2, at 10 p.m., the Druso in Ranica will host the return of Cheap Mondays, a band formed in Bergamo in 2007 and ready to resume its musical journey. After a hiatus during which the members explored different musical experiences and soundscapes, the group returns to the stage with a mix of new wave, post-punk, and early 2000s indie rock, featuring sharp guitars, catchy riffs, and a powerful rhythm section.
The concert marks a new phase for the band and an opportunity to look back on its history: The setlist includes several tracks from “Love’s the Most Expensive Comedy,” their 2011 album, along with new songs from “Y.U.P.,” the album set for release in 2026, which will be previewed for the audience.
The event will take place at Druso, located at 17 Via Antonio Locatelli in Ranica. Admission is 10 euros, with tickets available for purchase online in advance. A food truck will be on site during the evening, and ample free parking is available. No membership card is required.
