The Central Hostel of Bergamo with its young and dynamic atmosphere is in the heart of the city, just a few minutes’ walk from the bus and train station and 3km from ‘Il Caravaggio’ Airport of Orio al Serio. The Bergamo City Hall is just a short walk from the Central Hostel, as well as the Donizetti Theatre, the University, the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, the main museums and shopping streets of the city. From the nearby Porta Nuova also passes the bus connection Airport – Train Station – City Centre – Upper Town

From the railway station FS BG: Outside the station take for about 200 meters via Papa Giovanni XXIII, the wide road that leads from the station to the city centre. In front of you is Upper City. If necessary, this route can also be reached by bus No 1, coming from the Airport, in this case get off at the Porta Nuova stop. On the left you will see Via Guglielmo d’Alzano. The street is easily visible being located right in front of the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie and the Porta Nuova stop, just before the pharmacy. Taking Via Guglielmo d’Alzano you will see that the first street on the right is right Via Ghislanzoni, home to the Hostel Central Hostel Bg.
From the airport: Bergamo is easily reached by low-cost flights through the nearby airport ‘Il Caravaggio’ of Orio al Serio. The airport ‘Il Caravaggio’ of Orio al Serio is very close to the Central Hostel Bg and is well served by a convenient shuttle bus, the Airport Bus 1, which in 15 minutes leads to Bergamo downtown. The timetable can be consulted here. For those who prefer taxi service, it will be easy to find one right in the parking lot of the Airport. In case of car rental from the Airport, just follow the signs to Bergamo downtown. It is also possible that your flight will land in the Milan airports of Linate or Malpensa. In this case, several services are offered to reach the Milan train station and from there take the train or bus to Bergamo. By Car: Getting to the Central Hostel in Bergamo by car is very easy! Just follow the signs to the downtown. The street Ghislanzoni, where the Hostel is located, is the parallel of Via Papa Giovanni XXIII (the large avenue that leads from the station to the upper town). From the station take Via Papa Giovanni XXIII, towards the city center (then keeping the station behind and Città Alta in front); at the traffic light of Via Papa Giovanni XXIII turn left into Via Paleocapa; ! 00 meters later, at the next traffic light, turn right into Via Paglia and then immediately right into Via Guglielmo d’Alzano. Follow the street, the Central Hostel is on the left.

Restaurant Inside the Hostel is open The Bistro of Via Ghislanzoni, from Monday to Friday for lunch from 11.30 to 14.30.
