From November 7, 2026, to February 28, 2027, at the San Martino Museum of Sacred Art in Alzano Lombardo, an exhibition that weaves together contemporary art, memory, and hidden beauty. In dialogue with the decorations of the Fantonian Sacristies, Italo Chiodi’s works give new voice to the sensibility of Caterina Caniana.
There are flowers that span the centuries without ever ceasing to bloom. Carved in wood and preserved among the decorations of ancient sacristies, they continue to convey a subtle beauty that reveals itself only to those who pause to look.
From this silent presence emerges *Caterina’s Hidden Garden*, an exhibition project by Italo Chiodi that will be on view from November 7, 2026, to February 28, 2027, at the San Martino Museum of Sacred Art in Alzano Lombardo. Organized by the Associazione Amici di San Martino ETS in collaboration with the museum, the exhibition connects Caterina Caniana’s artistic legacy with contemporary art, fostering a dialogue between memory and imagination, matter and light, history and the present.
An exhibition designed to harmonize with its surroundings, where Chiodi’s works interact with the decorations of the Fantonian Sacristies and the Alcove of Ganymede, transforming the space into an integral part of the artistic experience.
