The farm currently extends over 30 hectares used to grow corn, barley and hay, allowing careful control of the cattle’s feed. The physical and psychological wellbeing of the animals is one of the main priorities of the farm, where every animal is born and raised on site. The large spaces available allow the cattle to be kept in free-stall housing, so they can fully express their natural behaviours. No animals from external farms are introduced, reducing the risk of disease transmission and, consequently, the use of medication. Animal stress is also reduced thanks to massage brushes.
Particular attention is paid to the continuity of the cow-calf bond. When necessary, calving is assisted by a specialised veterinarian and, in an isolated and stress-free environment, the relationship between cow and calf can develop away from excessive external stimuli. Calves have free access to a dedicated space that adult cattle cannot enter. This creates a quieter environment where calves can interact more easily, while also allowing them to receive food suited to their stage of life and maintaining the continuity of maternal nursing. The farm is open by reservation.
