The Archaeological Escape Room is a team-based game for girls and boys ages 14 to 18. The event will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., during the opening weekend of the Treviglio Archaeological and Historical Museum. To escape the room, you’ll need to solve a series of puzzles.
The key to passing the challenges lies in the sources. Documents, testimonies, and traces of the past become clues to be examined, compared, and interpreted. Just as scholars do, participants must observe carefully, connect the details, and reason together.
The escape room combines the fun of a game with the process of historical research. Each puzzle requires logic, attention to detail, and teamwork. No one can solve it alone—it takes a team, drawing on everyone’s skills and ideas.
Sources are the building blocks of history. Archaeologists and historians use them to reconstruct what happened, even when the accounts of those who were there are missing. Learning to interpret them means developing a critical mind and the ability to ask the right questions. In an escape room, this training becomes an adventure where time is ticking and every clue counts.
Archaeology teaches us that even the smallest fragment can change the way we interpret an era. The same is true in an escape room: a detail noticed at just the right moment can lead to the solution. Sign up and get ready to put your inner archaeologist to the test.
