Your journey starts at A7 – The Gate of Food. Turn the time before your flight into an experience to enjoy. Savor a tasting of three local wines, paired with a selection of local cured meats and/or cheeses, served right in front of Gate A7.
A7 – The Gate of Food is the first food and wine infopoint located at Milan Bergamo Airport, dedicated to discovering the Bergamo area and Italy through their gastronomic excellence. It is designed to welcome you and transform the time before your flight into an authentic experience, telling the story of Bergamo and its identity through taste.
At “A7 – The Gate of Food”, you will find the authentic flavours of Bergamo. All of the products come from a short supply chain and are sourced from small local producers. Respect for the environment, sustainability and the highest-quality ingredients are what await you.
The “Basic Tasting”, available for just 10 euros, includes a tasting of three local wines (40 ml samples each), selected together with the staff from a carefully curated selection of still red, white and rosé wines.
To accompany the wines, you can choose a ready-prepared platter of traditional cured meats or local cheeses, together with a dedicated tasting card describing their characteristics to enrich your tasting experience.
If you would like to taste both the cured meats and the cheeses, it’s recommended the “Plus Tasting”, available for just 15 euros per person. In addition to one platter of cured meats and one platter of cheeses, it includes three 40 ml tasting glasses of local wine.
The staff will guide you through the tasting, recommending wines according to your personal preferences and explaining their characteristics and origins.
You will not simply take part in a tasting, but experience a moment of encounter with the local food and wine culture, making the airport the first or the last stop of your journey.
If one or more of these flavours wins you over, your journey can continue even after the tasting.
All the products featured in the experience are available for purchase directly in the shop. You can take them with you, without worrying about baggage restrictions, as an authentic gastronomic souvenir from Bergamo: a memory of the local area to share, give as a gift, or enjoy once you have reached your destination.

– The “Tasting Plus”, available for 15 euros, includes a tasting of 3 wines (40 ml each) and 2 small platters featuring both local cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by a dedicated tasting card.

The experience is available from May to September: Monday to Thursday.
From October to April the experience is available every day.
From 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.
No refund will be provided in case of no-show.
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the date of the experience.
If the cancellation is not made within 48 hours prior to the service, the full amount will be charged.
ATTENTION:
Please make sure to have your boarding pass and/or the right to access the departures area before booking the experience. The experience takes place in the departures area, after the airport security checks.
At the time of booking, please indicate your expected flight time in the “Notes” field, so that we can best organize the experience.
The table dedicated to the experience will be reserved for one hour, with an additional 30-minute flexibility in case of unforeseen circumstances.
The tasting lasts between 30 and 45 minutes. At the end of the experience, guests are kindly asked to leave the table available.
The cheese and cured meat platters are fresh pre-packaged products prepared in a local delicatessen laboratory. Each platter includes a dedicated tasting card in both Italian and English.
The cured meats included in the tasting are gluten-free.
Most of the cheeses included in the tasting contain lactose.
