Baita Rondanino is a self-catering group lodge nestled in the natural surroundings of Val Taleggio, in the province of Bergamo, about two hours from Milan.
The house and its spacious grounds are reserved exclusively for a single group per stay, allowing the group to freely organize activities, shared experiences, and daily life according to their own plans.
It is particularly well-suited for groups looking for a place to live together—not just a place to stay overnight—such as wellness and personal growth retreats, cultural, theater, and music groups, spiritual groups, hiking groups and nature enthusiasts, families, corporate teams, and associations and communities united by shared interests. The facility also welcomes Scout groups, which can make use of both the indoor spaces and the outdoor areas designated for activities and camping.
The cabin is located in Reggetto di Vedeseta, in a secluded area surrounded by nature. The Taleggio Valley offers an authentic mountain setting, with forests, meadows, streams, and numerous trails that allow you to enhance your stay with walks, hikes, and outdoor activities.
Inside, the spaces are designed to foster group living. A large common room can be used for meetings, courses, educational activities, games, and social gatherings. The fully equipped professional kitchen allows the group to prepare their own meals, while the sleeping area, furnished with bunk beds, maintains the simple, communal character typical of a self-catering house. A large covered porch also provides additional sheltered space that can be used for activities even in case of bad weather.
One of the defining features of Baita Rondanino is the large outdoor space surrounding the house. Flat meadows, woods, and natural areas provide the perfect setting for organizing activities, gatherings, workshops, games, and moments of togetherness outdoors. For certain stays, arrangements can also be made to use the areas designated for temporary camping and the elevated tents already set up in the park—a solution particularly well-suited for Scout group camps and experiences that blend indoor living with the outdoors.
The cabin can accommodate up to 44 people. For stays that also include temporary camping in the outdoor areas, the total number of guests can reach up to 95 people. Self-catering allows the group to enjoy the facility independently: guests organize their meals, activities, and daily routines according to their own needs, with exclusive use of the spaces provided. Baita Rondanino is therefore not intended to be a hotel or simply a place to sleep, but rather a home to be shared during your stay.
Before making a reservation, a visit to the facility is required. This is helpful for getting a firsthand look at the spaces, understanding how self-management works, and verifying that Baita Rondanino is suitable for the group’s needs and plans.
