The Teatro del Vento theater company presents a show written and performed by Chiara Magri, with set design by Lando Francini and music from a mechanical accordion by the Cautin family. The production, which features a vintage wooden stage, is designed to engage children and families through the fairy-tale heritage of folk tradition.
The show tells two stories: in the first, a brave little girl frees the village from monsters, while in the second, a clever and resourceful little boy saves his brothers and finds his way home. The stories are accompanied by music from a hand-cranked accordion built for the occasion by the Cautin family, a group of artisans specializing in the construction of mechanical musical automata.
The initiative is a tribute to Italo Calvino on the occasion of the centennial of his birth.
