The itinerary through the churches of the Upper Town unfolds as a journey of discovery and contemplation, guiding visitors through the most significant works of Enea Salmeggia, who—deeply rooted in the soul of the city—left behind a legacy in these churches marked by devotion and profound humanity. The walk begins at the Adriano Bernareggi Diocesan Museum and then proceeds to the church of Sant’Agata nel Carmine. It then continues through the most intimate corners of San Lorenzo alla Boccola and finally arrives at the church of Sant’Andrea on Via Porta Dipinta. Here,the Adoration of the Shepherds welcomes the viewer with its gentle intensity, uniting the sacred with the everyday. It is an itinerary that invites you to slow down, to listen to what these places have to say, and to let yourself be guided by Salmeggia’s paintings, which, with harmony and elegance, define the historic heart of the Upper Town.
Meet at the ticket office of the Adriano Bernareggi Diocesan Museum—Piazza Duomo, 5—Upper Bergamo.
Admission to the Bernareggi Museum requires the purchase of a ticket for 3 euros per person, payable online or on site (via POS or cash).
The tour is led by the young guides from Le Vie del Sacro.
The event is part of the Salmeggia400 project, in collaboration with the Municipality of Nembro.
