On Saturday, October 3, the Monte Farno Info Point in Gandino will host “The Deer’s Bellow,” an evening dedicated to learning about the ungulates of our region, with a special focus on deer and their fascinating mating season.
The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a theoretical session focusing on deer biology, the rutting season, and issues related to coexistence and wildlife management. The session will be led by Nicolò Mottadelli, a wildlife specialist at the Alpvet consulting firm.
At 9:00 p.m., we’ll set out on a nighttime excursion with binoculars to experience firsthand in the field what we explored in depth during the conference. We recommend bringing a flashlight, hiking boots, warm clothing, and a packed dinner.
