The Mut de Nes Mountain Hut was conceived as an open and welcoming space, designed to host groups, activities, private parties, cultural and sporting events, and projects aimed at promoting the local area.
The Mut de Nes Mountain Hut is the result of a collaborative effort among various organizations, united by a shared desire to restore value to a local site and transform it into a space open to the community.
The project is sponsored by Cooperativa Sociale San Martino, in collaboration with the Municipality of Alzano Lombardo, Cooperativa Ruah, and ASD Forcella Mut de Nes, with support from Fondazione Cariplo and the GAL delle Colline Bergamasche.
The goal is to create a community hub capable of fostering connections, providing opportunities for people to come together, and opening up new possibilities for those who live in or pass through Monte di Nese. Within this vision, the Rifugio becomes not just a space to book, but a vibrant place: open to encounters, socializing, slow tourism, and the building of new relationships.
It is a multipurpose space, perfect for gatherings, sharing, and community, nestled in a natural setting that makes every experience even more special.
The building has two floors, connected by a staircase and an elevator, and is also accessible to people with limited mobility.
On the ground floor, there is a spacious and bright lounge that can accommodate up to about 60 people, complete with tables and chairs. There is also a bar area, a fully equipped commercial kitchen, a dishwashing area with a dishwasher, restrooms, and a large outdoor patio with a panoramic view.
Glasses, plates, and silverware are available for guests.
The first floor is dedicated to accommodations and includes three large bedrooms of varying sizes: one bedroom with 10 bunk beds and a private bathroom, a second bedroom with 7 bunk beds, and a third bedroom with 3 beds, equipped with a bathroom accessible to people in wheelchairs. The floor also features an additional bathroom and a spacious hallway.
Blankets are provided for sleeping at the facility, but you must bring your own sleeping bag, sleeping bag liner, or sheets.
