A walk along the trails, through the natural beauty, and among the culinary and wine delights of Cenate Sopra, at the entrance to Val Cavallina.
The Municipality of Cenate Sopra (BG) presents the second edition of the “San Leone Magno e Bevo” event, scheduled for Sunday, October 4—an authentic experience along the trails of Cenate Sopra: a walk that combines key moments in local history and culture with stops for pure culinary delight, allowing participants to discover the region’s wines and gourmet specialties.
The event is part of the “Val Cavallina: Experiences of Flavor, Nature, and Tradition,” made possible by funding from the Lombardy Region’s “Lombardia Style” grant program. It was created with the goal of growing year after year to become a flagship event for slow tourism in Lombardy, showcasing the region’s historical, artistic, scenic, and food-and-wine heritage.
The day will begin at the Oratory, the starting point of the itinerary. From there, the tour will take participants along a route that alternates between stops dedicated to the region’s finest food and wine and visits to the area’s main sites of historical, artistic, and religious interest.
