The village of Gromo is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in the Lombard Alps. Perched on a rocky outcrop, the village still features towers and castles that historically controlled the valley below. The town is included on the list of Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages and has been awarded the Orange Flag by the Italian Touring Club.

The itinerary includes a stop at the Church of Saints James and Vincent, located near the historic center. The building, dating back to the 12th century, features a Romanesque exterior and an interior characterized by medieval frescoes, Baroque stucco work, and gilded wooden altars. The tour continues toward the historic center to view the Art Nouveau villas built in the early 20th century, which served as vacation homes.

Due to the elevation changes in the town, the route is not suitable for people with limited mobility.
