Dalmine once again hosts DMF Dalmine Manifestazioni Fotografiche, the festival dedicated to photography as a language capable of capturing places, emotions, and visions of the present. From September 19 to 27, 2026, the city will be transformed into an open-air museum, brought to life by exhibitions, talks, workshops, guided tours, and the traditional Portfolio Competition. Now in its 12th edition, the festival offers a rich program of projects exploring diverse themes: nature, urban transformations, memory, work, identity, and relationships. The images explore matter, light, symbols, and fragility, creating a mosaic of perspectives that invites viewers to observe closely what often goes unnoticed. The exhibitions—both solo and group shows—are staged in squares, cultural centers, along the streets, in parks, and in libraries.

DMF welcomes established photographers, emerging artists, and photography enthusiasts, offering the public the opportunity to walk, linger, and immerse themselves in the visual narratives that bring contemporary photography to life. The public is invited to walk, linger, let the images speak to them, listen, and share: an invitation to experience the city through new perspectives. Admission to all exhibitions is free.

The creators of DMF 2026: Alberto Ghizzi Panizza, KUKKI (Mario Cucchi), Mariagrazia Beruffi, Simona Angeretti, Cinzia Battagliola, Aldo Mapelli, Bg77 Photography Club, Torre Photo Club, FotograFARE, Verdello Photography Club, Michele Carobbio, Dalmine Photography Club, Marianese Photography Club, Petite Photo, AF Group, various photographers participating in the FIAF 2025–2026 National Collective Photography Project “Agrosfera,” Salvatore Montemagno, and various photographers from the “Città di Dalmine” National Photography Contest.

Events: Saturday, September 19, the festival’s opening ceremony is scheduled; Sunday, September 20: presentation of Petite Photo’s “Seventyone” exhibition; presentation of the group exhibitions by the two Dalmine photography clubs, which are organizing the event in collaboration with the City of Dalmine; and the awards ceremony for the “City of Dalmine” National Photography Contest; Thursday, September 24: a talk with Denis Curti titled “Corpo a Corpo: Artificial Intelligence and Photography”; Saturday, September 26: an instant photography workshop with Cinzia Battagliola, guided tours of the exhibitions, and a talk with Alberto Ghizzi Panizza titled “A Life Dedicated to Photography”; and Sunday, September 27, to close the festival, the 2026 Portfolio Review Competition.

The twelfth edition of the Festival reaffirms and strengthens the collaboration between the Department of Culture of the City of Dalmine, the Dalmine Photography Club, and the Marianese Photography Club—organizations that have been working together for years to promote visual culture and make photography a shared heritage.
