Military History Museum

History, ingenuity and passion in the Scalve Valley

A museum in memory of World War II

Founded by the Associazione Lombardia Ricorda (Lombardy Remembers Association), the Military History Museum in Schilpario (Val di Scalve) invites you to discover live means and war instruments from the first half of the 20th century.
The amazing collection is the result of a collection built over time with care, dedication and deep respect for history, thanks to the passion of its promoters, Silvano Bettineschi and Adamo Marelli. It is not a simple exhibition, but a true immersive journey into one of the most significant periods of the last century: the Second World War.

The collection

Spread over an area of 5,000 square meters, on two floors, the museum offers an engaging and evocative tour.
The ground floor features an extraordinary collection of military vehicles: tracked, half-tracked, armored and wheeled vehicles tell the story of the evolution of technology and the historical context in which they were used. On the upper floor, on the other hand, the experience expands to the sky, with planes, helicopters and a vast display of flight-related accessories.

Each element is accompanied by detailed descriptions that illustrate its characteristics and use, guiding you on a narrative journey that will be a plunge back in time. The common thread of the entire experience is clear and profound: remember, understand, and do not forget.

A museum in the nature of the Scalve Valley

Visiting the Military Museum will be a special immersion in history, where human ingenuity and memory intertwine, resulting in an intense and meaningful cultural experience.
But that’s not all: all around, the beauty and typical flavors of the Orobian Alps await you.
