All year round, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Bergamo is a people-friendly destination where nature and city coexist in perfect balance. Distances between the main attractions are short, making it easy to explore both the historic center and the more modern areas, enjoying each stop without hurrying.
Getting around is easy thanks to a sustainable and efficient transportation network: scenic funiculars, CNG and electric buses, scooters and electric scooters make every trip practical and environmentally friendly. A focus on eco-sustainability and people’s well-being has given rise to a new system of bike sharing offers you pedal-assisted bikes, 365 days a year.
The new service is called BiGì Nextbike. There are 60 bike stations installed, all of them new-generation: 30 physical and 30 virtual, so to speak.
Yellow and snappy, BiGì Nextbikes are equipped with gearboxes, GPS technology and locking systems.
The fleet includes 350 smart muscle bikes and 20 pedal-assisted bikes. Thanks to these, you don’t have to be super-trained to have fun: hop on the saddle and enjoy the scenic ride from Lower Town to Upper Town, too, without fatigue.
Agile, environmentally friendly and economical, BiGì Nextbike is the perfect way to visit Bergamo without stress, reserving the ability to stop wherever curiosity strikes.
Let yourself be guided by the city’s many bike paths, explore the parks and tree-lined avenues, and, why not, reach the Park of the Hills to venture along trails that meander through vineyards and monasteries.
To take advantage of the best rates, which vary according to the time of use, remember to return the bike within the flex zone if you can. Electric bikes, on the other hand, should always be dropped off at the electric bike stations so that they can recharge.
And if you’ll be in Bergamo longer-or are a resident-BiGì Nextbike also offers two subscription options , monthly or annual, including both types of bikes and first half hour of each rental free!
Rental bikes are available in “station-based,” with pick-up and drop-off at the bike station, and “free-floating,” or free-release as long as they are within the area covered by the service. You’ll recognize the physical stations by the racks and the virtual ones by the tactical signage that delineates them, i.e., red stripes painted on the asphalt.
Thanks to the more than doubled number of stations compared to the old BiGì, you’ll be able to find and use Bergamo’s public bikes with ease!
BiGi-Nextbike is active year-round, all hours of every day. No limits.
To start riding, simply register at www.nextbike.it/bergamo and download the appropriate app.
Once you’ve done so, scan the QR code affixed to the bike you want to take (or type in its number), unlock it, and the city is yours!
Each profile allows you to rent up to four bikes at once, as well as reserve up to 15 minutes before pickup. Not only that, with the app you can also put the rental on hold and pick up the bike when you need it.
Curious? In addition to the app, available for Android and IOS systems, BiGì Nextbike has a website full of information to answer all your questions. On this page you will find all the rates. Phone support is guaranteed 24 hours a day.
Like a traveler’s heart, Nextbike travels throughout Europe and with a single app takes you on a discovery tour of 300 cities, including magnificent Bergamo.
