At an elevation of 1568 m, the Baita Cassinelli mountain hut is about a 1-hour walk from the Presolana Pass.
Beautiful and majestic, Presolana, a mountain of dolomitic rock, rises behind the hut. All around is the Bergamo Orobie Park, 70,000 hectares of pristine greenery.
The lodge accommodates up to 70 people in the two joint rooms reserved for dining and has 13 beds for those who would like to stay several days in this quiet corner surrounded by nature.
A stop at the lodge is a must: whether for a snack, lunch or dinner of typical Bergamo and Lombardy dishes, or simply to admire a unique 360-degree naturalistic panorama.
Cassinelli Hut is an excellent base for hiking and mountaineering climbs on both easy and challenging routes.
In fact, excursions are organized to Bivacco Clusone, Cappella Savina, Grotta Pagani, in the Valle dell’Ombra, Pozzera Pass, Monte Visolo, Baita Cornetto, Rifugio Albani, Rifugio Olmo, and on the Presolana Orientale.
