The history of the nearly 1,000-year-old monastic complex will be explained: the tour includes entry to the Basilica of St. James, dating from the 14th century and featuring important examples of medieval Lombard sculpture (bas-reliefs from the tomb of St. Albert), the two elegant cloisters, the Renaissance sacristy, the chapter house and the monastery museum.
