On Saturday, October 3, \u201cBiciclettiaMozzo\u201d\u2014a day of sports and recreational activities on two wheels organized by the Municipality of Mozzo\u2014is an open invitation to everyone to explore the local sights and flavors by bike along a stretch of the Ciclovia dei Colli e del Brembo bike path. <\/p>\n
The route is a scenic journey that combines sports, culture, and nature. The ride begins by passing through the vineyards of Mozzo and the historic Villa Masnada, a splendid 19th-century mansion nestled in the Parco dei Colli, before skirting the town\u2019s \u201cwetland\u201d area. From there, participants will head toward Valbrembo and Paladina, cycling along the foothills of the Bergamo Hills, until they reach Alm\u00e8. <\/p>\n
The return trip south will offer just as many points of interest: participants will pass by the Valbrembo Gliding Area, dedicated to hang-gliding enthusiasts, and cross the Briolo Bridge over the Brembo River, before stopping in the town of Ponte San Pietro. Here, the bike path will pass through the Isolotto, a 150,000-square-meter public park bordered by the Brembo River and the Quisa Stream. Finally, after passing through the center of Curno, the ride will end at the Porta del Parco in Mozzo. <\/p>\n
The day\u2019s program combines the joy of spending time together with informative and delicious moments. We\u2019ll meet at 8:30 a.m. at Social Mozzo (Via Verdi 2q), where all participants will be treated to a traditional welcome breakfast before we set off. After the 20-km ride, the group is expected to arrive at La Porta del Parco di Mozzo, where the \u201cCiclomeccanica\u201d workshop led by Franco Zanetti of eBikeTour will take place. This brief and informative session will teach you the art of bike maintenance and how to fix minor issues, from classic bikes to mountain bikes. <\/p>\n
At 1:30 p.m., the grand finale features a locally sourced buffet prepared by Cooperativa Alchimia, featuring a variety of regional delicacies such as cheeses, cured meats, focaccia, honey, organic juices, and seasonal fruit.<\/p>\n
