Gianfranco Uristani\u2019s paintings are on display in Fino del Monte as part of \u201cSensazioni,\u201d a solo exhibition held at Casa Matteo. The exhibition\u2014which opened in late September\u2014will remain on view through October 26, featuring a selection of works related to the artistic exploration of the artist, who passed away on June 12 of this year. Uristani, born in Gorlago in 1949, began his artistic exploration in the 1970s and started exhibiting his first paintings in the 1980s, garnering attention from critics and the public alike. His works are included in public and private collections in Italy and abroad. <\/p>\n
The exhibition explores a body of work built primarily around color and the relationship with nature\u2014elements that run through the various phases of the artist\u2019s career. The title \u201cSensations\u201d evokes precisely this aspect of the artist\u2019s creative exploration. The works feature the colors of the seasons and the landscape: the lilac of wisteria, shades of azure and blue, greens, and the yellowish hues of spring, all the way to the darker colors of night. Alongside these elements are leaden skies, the winter sea, and the roofs of houses, in a depiction where nature and everyday settings become recurring subjects. The exhibition also holds special significance because it is dedicated to Grazia, the artist\u2019s wife, who passed away a few days before Christmas.
