three-day festival in Leffe to celebrate the local composer, organist, and musical director, eighty years after his death.<\/p>\n","hero_title":"A Tribute to Angelo Gallizioli","indepth":"<p>The Propriatorial Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Leffe is hosting the event \u201cTribute to Angelo Gallizioli,\u201d a three-day program dedicated to the rediscovery of Angelo Gallizioli (1858\u20131946), a composer, organist, and conductor from Leffe. The event commemorates the 80th anniversary of his death, with the aim of highlighting the composer\u2019s contribution to the musical history of the Gandino Valley and the Bergamo area between the 19th and 20th centuries. <\/p>\n<p>The initiative includes a variety of activities scheduled throughout the weekend:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Friday, October 9: Opening of the exhibition \u201cMaestro Angelo Gallizioli of Leffe,\u201d which will be open to the public through Sunday, October 11, during the church\u2019s regular hours. The exhibition features items from the composer\u2019s personal collection, including sheet music, copies of works by composers from Leffe, and private correspondence. <\/li>\n<li>Saturday, October 10, at 8:45 p.m.: \u201cTribute to Angelo Gallizioli\u201d concert, entirely dedicated to the composer\u2019s musical works. Performers will include the \u201cPadre Davide da Bergamo\u201d Ensemble from Zanica, the \u201cSanta Cecilia\u201d Choir from Leffe, the \u201cLuigi Canali\u201d Schola Cantorum from Gandino, organist Tobia Sonzogni, and the Leffe Bell-Ringers\u2019 School. The repertoire will include sacred pieces, organ compositions, and bell sonatas performed on \u201ccampanine.\u201d  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On Saturday evening, there will be a preview presentation of the monograph currently in progress, *Il Maestro Angelo Gallittioli*, edited by William Limonta and Michele E.
