in “the risky thrill of experimentation,” leaving behind a legacy of music that is alive, unstable, and therefore infinitely modern. The title of the series, “The Future Is Baroque,” stems precisely from this awareness: in the Baroque, we find the origin of all contemporary exploration, the spark of invention, and the freedom of a language in transformation.

The series concludes with a genre that is perhaps the most enduring example of this freedom: the song. A voice that tells a story, supported by just a few strings—a direct relationship between words and sound that spans five centuries without losing its freshness. Giulia Bolcato (soprano) and Gianluca Geremia (lute, theorbo, and guitar) trace its evolution from the Italian grace of the early seventeenth century through to the twentieth century, encompassing French and Spanish influences, Mozart’s miniatures, and the intimate yet theatrical compositions of the Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo. A journey in which the song changes language and tone while always remaining true to itself: eternal and ever-changing. The evening begins with a welcome cocktail and a self-guided tour of the palace’s historic halls; followed by a meet-and-greet with the artists on the terrace.
