Hotel Le Pinete dates back to 1964 when the Bianchi family opened the kiosk called "Il Cacciatore", one of the first tourist businesses in Piazzatorre. Subsequently the kiosk turned into a restaurant until it became the hotel that it is today, with 32 rooms.
In the 1970s, the owners of the hotel decided to place an immense skating rink alongside the structure, also hosting international Olympic-calibre athletes.

The skating times for the public generally range from 2.00pm to 5.00pm and from 9.00pm to 10.00pm but are subject to change based on the request of training groups.
