OASI VERDE PARK

OASI VERDE PARK

Description

The Oasi Verde, meaning green oasis, is the largest public park in the city. It is located in Seriate, just 4km from Bergamo.

From the city centre you can get here by bicycle, by taking the bus (line 1 direction) or by car. The park is in via Lazzaretto and, as soon as you enter, a huge lawn opens up in front of you with sturdy trees that provide shade on hot summer days.

At the entrance to the park there is a wooden kiosk with outdoor benches and tables. It serves drinks, ice creams and coffee but also pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven in the evening.

A few metres from the kiosk you can find games for children, a special area designed for the younger ones.

The park is equipped with drink fountains, perfect for those coming by bike and who use the cycle path that leads straight from the park to Ghisalba, running alongside the Serio river.

The Oasi Verde is on the left orographic bank of the Serio River, but using a recently built steel bridge, you can cross the river and get to the other side where, following the path, you reach Grassobbio.
