Orobie Alps Resort

Description

Conceived to be a charming boutique hotel available all year round, our resort is characterized by a special trait: that of the love for the Orobie Prealps.

Modern but, at the same time, with a cozy atmosphere, the Orobie Alps Resort offers an extraordinary location for a relaxing weekend or holiday in the greenery, in the context of the wonderful Bergamo Alps. Furnished with style and elegance, with a special focus on the materials of the territory, recovery of tradition and with all the modern comforts, our resort welcomes its guests in a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

At disposal Standard Rooms, Superior Rooms and exclusive Junior Suites of different types and sizes, finely furnished and equipped, to meet the needs of every guest.

The hotel also provides a restaurant serving local cuisine, also suitable for hosting events and private banquets, large panoramic terrace, garden and ample free parking, a reception desk always at disposal for planning and booking of activities, transfers and additional services. The resort is equipped with a refined wellness center equipped with sauna, Turkish bath and emotional showers with panoramic view on the mountains for the best relaxation.

The quiet location, but easily accessible, offers an exclusive benefit: the possibility to devote yourself to the excursions and many sports activities in the area directly on the spot.

The Orobie Alps Resort is conveniently located and easily accessible, excellent starting point where to start going exploring the Orobie Prealps.

In addition to the nature trails, excursions and sports activities that can be practiced nearby, Roncobello offers many places of historical and cultural interest. Remarkable the cave called “Buco del Castello” (Castel Hole), second in size in all Lombardy, and the curious rock formation called “Porta delle Cornacchie” (Gate of the Crows). Also in the municipality of Roncobello, in the suburb of Baresi, there is a small but significant XVII-century building used as a mill, with inside mill and wine press, today managed by the FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano, the National Trust of Italy), open every weekend.

The Upper Brembana Valley is rich in historical evidence and interesting villages, place of passage of ancient roads and important trade roads, of which are still viable large traits, such as the Via Priula, one of the most significant examples of alpine routes, that connected Bergamo with Morbegno and therefore with Switzerland, the Via Mercatorum, that connected the low part of the Seriana Valley with the Brembana Valley, and the Strada Taverna, ancient way of communication of the left side of the Brembilla Valley with the Brembana Valley.

Among the towns and villages that are worth visiting there is San Pellegrino Terme, historical renowned health and holiday resort thanks to its famous thermal waters, with important examples of Art Nouveau of the Belle Époque, like the Grand Hotel, the Municipal Casino and the Baths, newly refurbished; the village of Cornello dei Tasso, in Camerata Cornello, ranked among the most beautiful villages in Italy, which owes its name to the Tassos, the family who first created the postal service (here there is the Museum of the Tassos and of the postal history, that keeps the world's first postage stamp); the old Venetian Custom House in Averara, in Ca’ San Marco; the House-Museum of Harlequin in Oneta of San Giovanni Bianco; Dossena and its Parish church which houses an impressive number of works of art, its old mines and its characteristic Carnival feast.
