Birrificio Lemine

Birrificio Lemine

Description

Birrificio Lemine is an artisan craft brewery located in Almenno San Salvatore, just 9km from the centre of Bergamo and just a few steps from the area’s renowned Romanesque churches.

The brewery was opened four years ago by Luca Fumigalli and currently produces six different labels as well as two seasonal beers. Santomè, taking its name from the nearby church, is a Belgian style blonde ale, Larezia is an amber ale with notes of caramel and biscuits while L’agher is a hoppy German style lager. Then there is Simaër stout beer, third place winner at the Italian Solo Birre 2018 competition held at Lake Garda, characterised by its high fermentation and perfect roasting of barley malt. The No Racole Apa is an American Pale Ale with fruity and intense hops while No Racole Ipa is a full-bodied Indian Pale Ale. For the festive season, Birrificio Lemine adds to its shelves Santomè Noël beer made with honey, while during autumn Cornabusa is prepared using chestnuts from the Imagna Valley.

Artisan production of the beers is carried out according to the traditional method through a vat-boiler and grains filter, using only selected raw materials, water from the surrounding valleys, high quality malts, hops and yeasts, without additives or preservatives and without any filtration or pasteurisation process.

The taproom is open for tastings and dinner on Thursday evenings.

Guided tours of the brewery with a degustation are available in Italian for groups of up to 25 people.
